At 16 years old, Futaba Yoshioka, a high school student, endeavors to assimilate with her female peers by adopting an "unfeminine" demeanor, stemming from past experiences of ostracism by jealous classmates. Consequently, she perceives her life as lacking excitement. However, her world takes a turn when she unexpectedly encounters Kou Tanaka, her first love from middle school who had relocated to Nagasaki. Now bearing the surname "Mabuchi," Kou appears markedly changed, exhibiting a cold and aloof demeanor. As the new school year commences, Futaba resolves to enact positive changes in her life, taking on the role of class representative. Alongside her classmates Yuri Makita, Shuko Murao, and Aya Kominato, as well as Kou, the group forms a deep bond while navigating the challenges of adolescence.
